BMW Move Maps FSC Code — Move Navigation Systems

If your iDrive shows “Road Map [Region] Move [Year]” — for example, “Road Map Europe Move 2025” — your CIC vehicle was factory-fitted with Move maps and this is the correct FSC code.

Move is more common than most CIC owners expect. A significant number of CIC vehicles were ordered without the Professional Navigation package and came with Move rather than Premium. Assuming Premium without checking the version string is the most common error on CIC orders. If the string says “Move,” only a Move FSC code will work.

Which Vehicles May Have CIC with Move Maps

Vehicles that may have CIC Move: E90/E91/E92/E93 3 Series, E60/E61 5 Series, F10/F11 early production, E70 X5, E71 X6, E83 X3, MINI R-series with CIC navigation. The iDrive version check is the only reliable confirmation.

NAV > Options > Settings > Position and map version

“Road Map Europe Move 2025” = CIC Move — correct product. “Road Map Europe Premium 2026” = CIC Premium — order the Premium FSC code. “Road Map Europe Motion 2024” = CIC Motion — order the Motion FSC code. “Road Map Europe Next 2026” = NBT — different head unit.

One-Time or Lifetime

One-time activates the current Move map release. Lifetime activates every future Move release for this vehicle.

What is the difference between CIC Move and CIC Premium?

Move and Premium are different factory map types on the same CIC hardware. The map type was set at manufacture based on the navigation package ordered. “Road Map Europe Move 2025” = Move. “Road Map Europe Premium 2026” = Premium. A Move FSC code activates Move maps only — neither activates the other.

Can I upgrade from Move to Premium?

No. The factory map type is permanent. A CIC with Move maps accepts Move maps only and no FSC code changes this.

Does a Move FSC code work on NBT or EVO?

No. Move maps are CIC-specific. NBT shows “Road Map Next” and EVO shows “Road Map EVO” — both require their own codes.
