The BMW map update USB procedure is simple and fast. Depending on when you last updated, it can take 5 to 30 minutes. There are two ways to carry out the update.
Once you enter a lifetime code in your BMW, you will never need to enter another code again! This means you never have to buy another code again! All you need is just the Map Data. We also include iDrive instructions to guide you on how to enter/update the FSC code while updating your maps.
At the very least once each year, we advise updating the maps on your BMW navigation system. However, as highways constantly change, it’s preferable for somebody who drives frequently to obtain new information every three to six months. Because of this, we have prepared for you BMW map updates that are available as both a conventional one-time update and repeated updates at times that work best for you.
You must contact us with your order number, VIN, or model and let us know when it’s time for a new BMW navigation update if you want your navigation to be updated periodically. We have just launched a new subscription service for our navigation map updates! Lately there has been numerous requests for information on when the 2016.2 map update will be releases since 2016.1 has been out for quite some time.
Although we still don’t have an answer on when 2016.2 will come out we do have an answer to the problem – yearly map update subscriptions! When you purchase a subscription, you will be sent the current map update software and a release code. If you purchase the download version you will receive an email as soon as the new map is released with the download instructions and release code. If you purchase the shipped USB version you will receive an email notifying you of your tracking number for your new map update.
