 BMW Premium Maps FSC Code — CIC Navigation Systems

If your iDrive shows “Road Map [Region] Premium [Year]” — for example, “Road Map Europe Premium 2026”  or for similar to Factory Installed other region like e.g  “North America Premium 2024” it means your CIC BMW was factory-fitted with Premium maps and this is the correct FSC code.

Check that string before ordering. CIC vehicles can have Premium, Move, or Motion depending on which navigation package was ordered at the factory. Assuming Premium without checking is the most common CIC ordering mistake. A Premium FSC code will not activate on a CIC vehicle with Move or Motion maps.

Which Vehicles May Have CIC with Premium Maps

CIC was fitted to most E-series BMW models with factory navigation and early F-series production up to approximately 2013. Premium maps came with the Professional Navigation package.

Vehicles that may have CIC Premium: E90/E91/E92/E93 3 Series, E60/E61 5 Series, E63/E64 6 Series, F01/F02 7 Series (earlier production), E70 X5, E71 X6, E83 X3, E84 X1, early F10/F11 5 Series and F30 3 Series (pre-2013). Your VIN confirms which of the three CIC map types your vehicle has.

“Road Map Europe Premium 2026” = CIC Premium — correct product. “Road Map Europe Move 2025” = CIC Move — order the Move FSC code. “Road Map Europe Motion 2025” = CIC Motion — order the Motion FSC code. “Road Map Europe Next 2026” = NBT — different head unit, different code.

One-time activates the current Premium map release. Lifetime activates every future Premium release for this vehicle.

CIC Navigation— Confirm Premium Navigation Maps Before Ordering

If your iDrive version screen shows “Road Map Europe Move 2025” rather than “Road Map Europe Premium 2026,” the BMW CIC Move maps FSC code is the correct product. If it shows “Road Map Europe Motion 2024,” order the BMW CIC Motion maps FSC code instead. A Premium FSC code will not activate on either.
