BMW Route Maps FSC Code – EntryNav First Generation Navigation Systems
If your iDrive shows “Road Map [Region] Route [Year]” — for example, “Road Map Europe Route 2026” — your vehicle has first-generation EntryNav navigation and this is the correct FSC code.
EntryNav first generation (also referenced in BMW documentation as CHAMP2 or HU_ENTRYNAV) and EntryNav2 (WAY/EntryEVO) are different systems on different hardware. A Route FSC code will not activate WAY maps. A WAY code will not activate Route maps. If your version string shows “WAY” rather than “Route,” order the WAY Lifetime FSC code instead.
Which Vehicles Have EntryNav with Route Maps
First-generation EntryNav was the base navigation option on F-series BMW and MINI from approximately mid-2014 through 2017/18, before EntryNav2 replaced it on updated models.
Vehicles that may have EntryNav Route: F30/F31 3 Series (base nav, certain build years), F20/F21 1 Series, F10 5 Series (base nav), MINI F55/F56 (base nav, early production). VIN confirmation is recommended for vehicles near the EntryNav to EntryNav2 transition.
How to Confirm Your System
NAV > Options > Settings > Navigation system version
“Road Map Europe Route 2026” = EntryNav first gen — correct product. “Road Map Europe WAY 2026” = EntryNav2 — order the WAY Lifetime FSC code. “Road Map Europe Next 2026” = NBT — different head unit.
One-Time or Lifetime
One-time activates the current Route map release. Lifetime activates every future Route release for this vehicle.
This product is the FSC activation code only. Map download not included.

Also Useful for EntryNav Owners
If your iDrive shows “Road Map WAY” rather than “Road Map Route,” your vehicle has EntryNav2, not first-generation EntryNav — the WAY Lifetime FSC code is the correct product. This is the most common wrong landing on this page.
Your series page covers all compatible systems for your model — select from BMW 3 Series or MINI Cooper for the full map update package rather than the FSC code only.
For buyers who are unsure of their system, the BMW FSC Codes page lists every BMW and MINI navigation system with the exact version string it displays and the correct FSC code for each.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I tell EntryNav Route from EntryNav2 WAY?
NAV > Options > Settings > Navigation system version. “Road Map Europe Route 2026” = first-generation EntryNav — this code is correct. “Road Map Europe WAY 2026” = EntryNav2 — order the WAY Lifetime FSC code. Both were fitted as base navigation on F-series BMW and MINI but they are separate hardware platforms with separate map types.
Can a Route FSC code activate WAY maps?
No. Route and WAY are separate map types on separate hardware. A Route code activates Route maps on first-generation EntryNav only.
One-time or lifetime?
One-time covers the current Route release. Lifetime covers every future Route release for this vehicle. Both are available.
Does this include the map download?
No — activation code only. For both together, select your series from the Map Update by Model page.
